BOARDING & GROOMING

The dogs start getting excited to go to Dog Hollow as soon as they see us packing up their bag. What’s not to like? A houseful of canine company, a big garden, walks galore and even a paddling pool. For the last twelve years, Sophi has enabled us to leave the dogs without ever having to worry about their happiness or safety. She has handled special diets, recuperation from surgeries and even medical emergencies while we were away. As a bonus, they are always returned obedient (which lasts for a day or two, but they are Flatcoats, after all), at their ideal weights, and groomed to a high sheen—smelling of shampoo instead of their preferred fox poo!

My eleven year old English Pointer Roxy has boarded with Sophi since she was a puppy. It has always been such a positive experience, I don’t trust anyone else to look after Roxy!
— Zak Biddu
Sophi has looked after my rescue dog, Mr Cole, on several occasions now and whilst nervous to start with, he pretty much can’t wait to get through her front door! She is great when it comes to explaining specific dog behaviours; it is so nice to go away knowing that Mr Cole is in safe hands.

Our Basset Fauve has been going to Dog Hollow since a puppy for her/our holidays and it is a holiday for her too! Lots of fun dogs to play with and great walks. We and Minty have total confidence in Sophi.
— Lois & Minty
Sophi is a brilliant dog trainer, she understands dogs and dogs understand her. My dog has boarded at Sophi’s since a puppy and jumps with excitement when she sees her. She always comes home sweet smelling and with perfect manners! I have absolute faith in Sophi that she cares for my dog like one of her own and can’t recommend her enough.

Dog Hollow are passionate about what they do; the support and love we and our dogs have received from them over the years is priceless. Our Charlie still stays with Sophi when we are away and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Thank you for everything Sophi!
— Joanna & Charlie
Jasper our Westie loves coming to see Sophi and comes out looking so beautiful. I cannot recommend her highly enough. If he could talk I’m sure he would say the same!

Boarding

Dog Hollow offers a dog boarding service in a family environment where dogs are not kennelled or crated, unless necessary,

or requested (crate training only).

With a large garden and close proximity to a number of dog-friendly parks, we aim to provide a fun and relaxing environment for our furry friends.

Specialist diets can be catered for and we have a separate area of the house for those in their senior years to put their paws up.

All boarders will be living with other dogs in a home environment and are treated as part of the family (and hopefully taught to act the same way!).

We can take bitches during their season (all our dogs are neutered) but not entire males over a year old.

All dogs must be used to the company of other dogs and be well socialised with children.

We also require all dogs have the kennel cough vaccine*

Please note that holidays are a busy time so should be booked 6 months in advance as spaces are limited.

Pick up and drop off is available Monday-Friday (times are subject to availability but normally 9.30-10 am).

Pick up in Central London only.

Rates - £45 per dog, per night

*Kennel cough is a highly contagious disease affecting the respiratory system.

Symptoms include a dry, hacking cough, lethargy and runny eyes and nose.

This can be fatal in puppies and dogs with auto-immune problems.

Your vet will administer this with a spray up the nose and is done annually.
